RAW IS WAR Recorded Results for 12\21\98 Starts with corporate/DX showdown. Footage was shown of Vince telling Shane to take care of some things while he was busy. Shane said that he now had the keys to the kingdom. HHH responded by saying that they had the keys to the boiler room, and introduced Mankind. Several matches were then announced as punishment for DX. -Billy Gunn v. Ken Shamrock -Road Dog v. Big Boss Man -HHH/XPac v. Rock/Guy who beat up HHH Monday night -Mankind v. SHANE MCMAHON First match: Al Snow v. Gangrel Al Snow won, and was treated to a bloodbath just like Tiger Ali Singh Billy Gunn v. Ken Shamrock BABG won, and was declared the new IC champ, but Commissioner Michaels came out and said that it was a non-title match. HAWK INTERVIEW Hawk comes out and says that he is recovering. Starts to talk about his dependency problem, and says that Droz got him hooked to try and get him out of LOD. Droz comes out and shoves Hawk down and starts to kick him, but Animal makes the save. Blackman v. Blue Blazer DQ on run in by Owen Hart, Golddust comes out and helps to unmask the Blue Blazer...It's Jarett Road Dog v. Big Boss Man Road Dog calls the Big Boss Man a chickenshit and tells him to put the title on the line, which he does. They fight into the crowd, and Mankind nets the Big Boss Man, leading to a Road Dog victory, and a NEW HARDCORE CHAMP!! Acolytes v. Holly/Scorpio Holly & Scorpio via DQ Shane McMahon v. Mandkind Shane acts all tough. Mankind gets a chair and tells Shane to hit him with it, Mankind turns his back and Shane does as he is told, but the chair doesn't even dent. Mankind hits the claw, but the Rock runs in for the save. Another DX/corporate showdown. D'Lo/Mark Henry v. the Headbangers First, just D'Lo is announced, then D'lo and Mark, but on the third call, only D'Lo came out. He wrestled the whole match by himself, and when it was over, Mark showed up on the stage wearing a pair of red silk boxers and two pairs of handcuffs. They argued for awhile. The King stood up and insulted the Splokane crowd. HHH/XPac v. Rock/Guy who beat up HHH on Monday. Vince says he is in a giving mood, and allows DX to stay @ ringside during the match. Very good, hard fought match. Then the lights go down, and Kane's music comes on. Everyone cheered for him after what happened on Monday, but he went to the ring and preceded to chokeslam every member of DX, except Chyna. Shawn Michaels told him to slam her too, but Vince wouldn't let it happen.-**WCW Nitro card**: Live From, The TWA Dome in St. Louis: Fit Finlay vs. Scott Putski Winner: Fit Finlay (by:pin) The Tombstone Piledriver. This was a very good match, Scott really gave him a run for his Money The Cat came out and had his own interview, and he was just acting like his usual self. Then Santa Claus came out tossing out goodies. Then The Cat told Santa to enter the Ring. So Santa entered the ring and the Cat said he was gonna beat the hell out of him. And Santa whipped the hell out of the Cat because Santa was Saturn Kaz Hayashi vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr Winner: Chavo Guerrero Jr (by:pin) The Tornado DDT off the Top Kevin Nash came out for an interview, he was talking about how he has done everything that Goldberg has done.....except beating him!! And he said that Goldberg needs to stay focused Raven and Kanyon come out for an interview and Raven was acting like his usual self. And he hit Kanyon and started beating him up. And Ravens mom came out and brought Raven home Eric Bischoff comes out and the beginning of the second hour, and he was talking about Flair. And how he won't show up at Nitro tonight. But then Flair entered the building and went nuts!!! And he drove Bischoff out of the ringside area Wrath vs. Lizmark Jr Winner: Wrath (by:pin) The Melt Down Eddy Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio Jr Winner: Eddy Guerrero (by:pin) Because Billy Kidman hit Rey Mysterio by accident and Eddy got the pin. But this was a very good and long match. Big Papa Pump came out and announced Mark McGwire out to ringside, and it was really Buff Bagewell dressed up as McGwire. And they made fun of him being a redneck and how St. Louis sucks and they Lit his Cardinals hat on fire. Barry Windham vs. Van Hammer Winner: No Contest, Flair came out right away and went after Windham and just kicked his Ass!! He gave him like 5 low blows and such a beating. Then Flair was screaming and like crying about the Bischoff situation from Thunder. So Bischoff came out and started fake crying and mocking out Flair, So Flair ran right after him. But security broke him up and handcuffed him Kenny Kaos vs. Lex Luger Winner: Lex Luger (by:submission) The Torture Rack. Rage came out in the middle of the match and distracted Kaos then that is when Luger put on the Torture rack Konann vs. Alex Wright Winner: Konann (by:submission) The Tequila Sunrise Disco Inferno vs. The Giant Winner: The Giant (by:pin) The Choke Slam off the Top Rope (Main Event) Goldberg vs. Scott Hall Winner: Goldberg (by:DQ)Nash came to Ringside and pulled Hall out of the Ring after Goldberg speared him. -The BEST of WCW 98' will be aired on TNT on December 30th at 8:00 PM! Be sure to toon in, it will show all the special moments and matches for the whole year of 98!.-The Giant has been telling his peers in the WCW lockeroom that he is planning to leave WCW to head to WWF. There have been rumors of the Giant leaving WCW, but now it seems to be valid. I have also received word that the Giant has given WCW his 90-day notice, and will be employed by WCW until February 9th. Vince McMahon and Titan Sports have a lucrative contract for the Giant in the mix, but we do not have details yet. The Giant has also told friends that he has scheduled a lyposuction surgery to slim down a good portion of his 540 lbs.-Former WCW referee and manager Teddy Long made his WWF debut as a referee on Sunday Night Heat during the match between the New Age Outlaws and DOA. I'm not sure if 'Q-Ball' will remain a referee or somehow work his way into a future WWF angle.-Titan Sports is in fact in negotiations with NBC in an effort to bring the WWF back to that network. The WWF was last seen on NBC about 6 years ago on the most Ever famous Saturday Night's Main Event.-The rumors have popped up again. In early 1998, many people were wondering who would be singing the National Anthem at WrestleMania. Mariah Carey's name popped up then, and seemingly it has again. I just heard that Mariah Carey has been offered a very large sum of money to sing the National Anthem at this years WrestleMania. For that kind of money, hell she might even be apart of one of the matches.-Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage had a meeting with Eric Bischoff this past week regarding their future in WCW. The meeting was said to be very positive, and that Hogan may return as early as December 28 Nitro in Baltimore, or else the next week at Georgia Dome Nitro. However, when Savage and Hogan return, it is being tossed around that they will team up as good guys to feud with the Outsiders Hall and Nash, who will by that time be bad guys. However, logically who will the fans root for? Even if Hogan and Savage are good guys, the fans will still cheer for the Outsiders.***There have been many reports that Terri Runnels really is pregnant with hers and Dustin Runnels' second child, and that the baby is due in March.
